Sue Cartwright

Born in Liverpool, I studied at Northwich College of Art and Design, and later at Leeds studying textile design.

Due to a decline in the textile industry, I retrained and worked in a drawing office for several years, eventually leaving to look after the children. This allowed me to pursue once again my passion for painting.

A good knowledge of colour, shape, design and drafting skills has influenced much of my work over many years.

With a love for the arts and gaining my teaching certificate, it enabled me to teach and inspire others to paint. As well as running private workshops in the North West, I have also in the past taught adults with learning disabilities and special needs.

Continuing from this, I am currently teaching adults on the “Prescription for Health” program  through Warrington Borough Council
